Do you want to be in the driver's seat of SCANIA´s journey into Asia? And be involved in developing products for one of the biggest markets in the world. Then this position is something for you!
To become one of the biggest and most profitable Truck manufacturers in Asia, SCANIA is increasing our presence in the Chinese markets through a new production plant as well as building local R&D capabilities. Both the product and the R&D organization are now in the start-up phase. If you enjoy being a first-mover in executing bold strategies you will enjoy the journey we have ahead of us!
In the new group, Product description and Vehicle layout, we are looking for a technical project leader with a mindset of an entrepreneur and a complete vehicle perspective. Since the group is in the start-up phase, you and I will together set the standard and build up the way of working with geometry assurance, product coordination, and layout of the truck. Our work will be the foundation of how the future big organization will work in these stated areas.
We collaborate through an agile and cross-functional setup including R&D, Production, and Purchasing departments to develop the product and build up the production.

To succeed in this role, you have the experience of working in product development, ideally also with vehicle layout and interfaces, and you really value SCANIA's modularization thinking. Your main strengths:
• You understand the importance of cross-functional layout work to create the best conditions for the product designers.

• You dare to try and manage the risks to achieve the most suitable way forward for this new organization.
Your responsibilities contain:
• develop the way of working with generation trucks and new introductions
• defining key interfaces on the complete truck
• creating and sustaining calculation vehicles
• running the essential cross-functional meetings to enable the development
• one important part is to support and build up the team on location in China and coach them
