Arbetsbeskrivning
The Technical Project Manager shall take technical responsibility of customer interface and handle alignment of milestones, planning issues, delivery planning, change request management, progress follow-up, project status reporting and risk management.
The Technical Project Manager is also responsible for the Change Control Board (CCB) where are also the System Design Responsible and System Validation Responsible play an important role.
The Technical Project Manager works as a subproject manager and reports to the Project Manager.
Area of Responsibility
Define technical project scope, stakeholders, goals, risks and how this project contributes to company goals. Key success factors are defined.
Define, together with SDR & SVR, the project life cycle. What process is to be followed and what tailoring needs to be performed.
Preparation, verification, implementation, monitoring and adjustment of the detailed schedule (development activities from KA process)
Evaluates the needed resources and skills for the engineering team
Follows up on resources and training requested from the line-organization
Responsible for management of the engineering team in the task management tool
Assigns responsibility for work results and activities to the individual team leads or team members
Monitors and controls progress, creates project status reports with regards to milestones, resources and budget
Supports Risk Management
Implements action items in the case of (upcoming) deviations
Initiates and monitors escalation actions if needed
Ensure that R&D/development perspective and input is represented and accurate in Project Management Plan.
Competence profile
Education:
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience and skills:
Experience in leading teams, preferably multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural
Experience in project management
Great communication skills
Experience in system, hardware and/or software development or testing
Knowledge in Automotive Spice and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety).
Good knowledge in requirements engineering.
Good knowledge of local native language (Swedish).
Fluent in English, spoken and written.
Good knowledge of development processes, methods, and tools.
Personal qualities appropriate for working in a team; analytic, structured, pedagogical and able to take initiatives.
