The position
As Technical Project Manager, you will lead, motivate and empower teams to deliver technical projects that are in line with NENT Group's vision and strategy: being the premier video streaming service for both live and on-demand content. Our organisation is constantly under change. We quickly need to learn and adapt to changing business priorities, new market needs and new technology.
The journey ahead
In this role, will work directly with multiple engineering teams and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure productivity and progress on multiple concurrent projects. As a part of the Project Management Office you will plan, drive and coordinate the larger technical initiatives within NENT Group. Daily activities will include driving multiple projects in parallel and be responsible for user story breakdown, technical investigations as well as stakeholder communication and presentation. In some initiatives you will be the driver, in others you will support the autonomous teams with your project management toolbox.
- Ensure that new initiatives are clear from a business and technical perspective
- Ensure deliveries are progressing through “hands-on” coordination
- Develop a good relationship with development managers, architects and developers to secure a smooth process for user story mapping, dependency tracking and technical investigation
- Drive technical investigations which involves all different parts of the organisation
- Make sure you understand the business needs and ensure everyone around you understand this as well
- Be an inspiration for the teams you work with
What we are looking for
Our ideal candidate has experience from project management in a modern development environment and with a background within software development, since a thorough understanding of the processes required for a smooth development cycle is important. We also believe that you are flexible for change and eager to take on new challenges. As a leader, you apply situational leadership and know how to navigate in an agile environment to embrace team effort in favour of dependencies to individuals. Experience of working as a software developer.
Successful candidates also meet the following requirements:
- Experience from a product development organisation.
- Strong skills with a servant and situational leadership.
- A coaching mindset.
- Familiar with requirement gathering and break down.
- Excellent communication skills, familiar with communicating with different stakeholders and suppliers.
- High proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
