Remote assignment: Technical Project Manager for DC migration - Sweden

Northab are looking for an IT Project Manager/Technical Project Manager to work with Data Center Migrations for an international customer. You need to have done Datacenter migration before and have a track record and reference.

The project is remote so you can work 100% from home, with some travels to customer DC site.

Do you have a passion for IT project management? Then we would love to hear from you. You will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the team's activities to manage and implementing project. Your main responsibility is to create, maintain and drive project execution balancing scope, budgets, resources, and timelines - and to identify, document, escalate and mitigate project risks.

This project is calculated to take 2-3 years

Start Date: ASAP (beginning of August)

What you will do-

- Determines, monitors, and reviews all project economics including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risks.


- Leads the project team in determining client requirements and translating requirements into operational plans




- Plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the project.


- Develops project control and reporting procedures and manages changes in operational plan.


- Undertakes status review meetings among project team members and clients.


- Works with management on project proposals, bids, contracts, estimates, and schedules.


- Coaches and advises team members to accomplish project goals, to meet established schedules, and resolve technical/operational issues.




- Controls project requirements, scope, and change management issues.


- Establishes appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria.


- Installs appropriate automated systems for management of projects.


- Develops, proposes, and negotiates project proposals, quotations, and add-ons to leadership and the client


- You will have the ability to run large clients with multiple work packages; as well able to direct Project Managers running work packages.




Required Competence

- More than 6 years hands experience in Data Centers and Migration; ability to run a work package or migration wave; with minimal direction


- Quality Focused Delivery




- Can manage work across geographies and different time zones


- Must be able to travel if required


- If you have relevant certifications in Project Management, its excellent


- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and verbal




Northab Offer:

Project Employment 6 month with possible extension another 6 month, ( if extended there is another possibility of 12-24 month extension)
