Head of Technical and Quality department

OUTOKUMPU has an exciting opportunity in Degerfors - Head of Technical and Quality.
As the Head of T&Q you will lead and distribute the work within the department. The work is conducted with the focus of supporting Degerfors Operations main processes. The department consists of business support, testing and process development.

Main responsibilities
In this role you will maintain and develop Degerfors Operations quality system, so that it meets the requirements of the quality assurance norms and standards. You will be leading the team to deliver on the agreed objectives, as well as to apply performance management. The objective is to ensure a good working environment within the department.
Your task is also to structure the improvement work and ensure that process development and quality improvements are run within QP, and in cooperation with other sites and functions. To achieve the set goals and savings, you are accountable to maintain good contact and dialogue with various stakeholder in sales, SCM, production and maintenance and other sites.
You will be responsible for providing and coordinating specialist competence in quality technology and process technology, for the manufacturing processes in Degerfors Operations.

Other responsibilities are;
Accountable for ensuring that regulations and instructions for the function are found and complied with
Further improve the cooperation with other functions within the site as well as outside the site
Responsibility regarding final inspection of products with third party inspectors


Qualifications
Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, chemistry or equivalent competence
Several years of leadership experience and leading through leaders
Experience from quality management
Have a strong safety consciousness and skills in creating winning teams
Customer oriented and skilled at adapting to changes
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Skills in stakeholder management
Fluent in Swedish and English


You will be located in Degerfors and report to VP Degerfors Operations.
