Job description
HORIBA Sweden is the leading supplier of precision instruments for measurement and analytical applications in the Nordics. Now we are looking for a new Technical Sales Scientist, who can develop and expand our Scientific technology further in the Nordic market. 

As a Technical Sales Scientist, your main goal is to develop HORIBA Scientific for the industrial market in the Nordics. Thus, you are highly self-motivated and target-oriented, as well as highly knowledgeable and comfortable in scientific contexts.

HORIBA Scientific is a world-leading supplier of optical and analytical instrumentation adapted to the needs of clients in fundamental research, applied analysis, and QC applications. The main field of our clients' applications is advanced (nano-)materials, surface science, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. Further, the HORIBA Scientific product portfolio consists of Raman, fluorescence, inorganic elemental analyzers, GDOES, optical spectroscopy components, and particle size characterization technology.

As a Technical Sales Scientist you will work closely with the international team of Sales Leaders, Product Managers, and Application Scientists, primarily in France.

Responsibilities


Commercial business development of the client portfolio
Identifying market opportunities
Representing the HORIBA Scientific product portfolio on trade shows
Establishing a new client relationship
Creating key accounts
Feedback territorial-specific information to HORIBA's European headquarters
Management of complete sales projects, from inquiry to cash in
Consulting and communication for instrument configuration with the support of European product managers and application scientists
Contract negotiation
Maintaining customer relationships during installation and the first after-sales period
Responsibility for territorial turnover
Report directly to the Managing Director


Qualifications
To succeed as Technical Sales Scientist, we believe you should have:


Experience in analytical principles
Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
Proven understanding of international business culture
Travel required
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word,
Power Point, Excel, CRM, and Digital Marketing
Master’s Degree in a scientific discipline, Ph.D. preferred
Full professional proficiency in Swedish and English

It is advantageous if you also have:


Experience in a similar role within scientific technical sales
Experience in developing strategic and business plans
Proficiency in French and/or German
