Can you see yourself working with complex technical systems in situations where your decisions, your expertise and your commitment has an imminate impact on the customers operational capability? Your role
We are looking for a person with experience from combat systems and subsystems. As a Technical Service Engineer you will be part of our first line support, providing our customer with operational capability by handling both corrective and preventive maintenance tasks. First line support means providing support on-site / onboard but you will also be part of our second line support located in our own workshop in Linköping. You will work in close co-operation with colleagues located in different parts of Saab as well as utilizing several sub-contractors both domestic and international to achive your goal.
The main tasks are:
* System/sub-system faultfinding and fault localization tasks
* Onboard weapon platform (ship)
* In workshop
* Perform corrective maintenance tasks
* Plan for and perform preventive maintenance tasks
* Assessing failure reports, draw conclusions and suggesting long term mitigating actions
* Write service reports
* Assist product development department by providing in-depth system knowledge gathered from the support of operational systems
* Assist sales department and product management department by providing a trusted link between end-users and Saab.
Your profile
You consider yourself to be an energetic and motivated team player always ready to step in and do the work required for the team to achive its goal. You enjoy travelling and being out on missions supporting our customer on-site where missions can last from days to weeks. You have a special interest in understanding the relationship between a technical systems functionality and the ability it creates for the user. You create and maintain good customer relationships based on business conduct. You see it as an honor to be able to help others develop and are happy to share your knowledge with others.
Required skills:
* Several years of experience working with combat systems
* Computer literacy with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and PDM-systems (e.g. IFS)
* Good workshop experience from working with both electronics and mechanics
* Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written
Desired skills:
* Several years of experience working with faultfinding and fault localization on complex technical systems
* Experience from underwater sensors
* Knowledge and handling in Linux-based software
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
