As our Technical Service Engineer you will be part of a highly dedicated engineering team for Grid Automation Products in Hitachi ABB Power Grids. The team is responsible for providing services to the global installed base of high voltage protective relays and control devices, as well as associated tools and system equipment. In this role you belong to the business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids that is responsible for the development, marketing and sale and manufacturing of products for protection and control for generation, transmission networks and sub-transmission network. It is a role where you can learn a lot and contribute with your own thoughts and ideas.

Your responsibilities
You will be involved in the complete chain of supplying the solution from understanding the customer requirements to implement them at our supplier
Build customer relationships and providing great customer service together with the project team
Participate in dialogues with customer, to understand technical requirements and conditions and provide your technical expertise
Work with electrical components and understand the characteristics and performance used in the protection and control devices
Examine end-of-life relays and components and find equivalent solutions with the same performance
Work with wiring diagrams as well as single line diagrams with the focus on relays and their applications

Your background and Requirements
You are communicative, enjoys of go in-depth on technical issues and take responsibility for your area of expertise
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master´s degree in engineering. Specialization in electrical/electronic engineering is preferred.
You have experience of projects and product development and preferably from a similar role
You have knowledge or experience of electrical components and hardware
You are a natural problem solver who enjoys meeting new challenges
A team player who constantly look for opportunities to improve and to find better ways to serve our customers.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required to be able to interact with various stakeholders, proficiency in Swedish is an advantage
