We are searching for a new Technical Service Representative for International Paint Marine and Protective Coatings to our the DACH, Nordics & Baltics technical service team.

What will you do?
In the role as Technical Service Representative you will be responsible to provide a sound technical service to our customers and projects in Denmark regarding quality and application of paint and ensure all parties are aligned on the painting requirements. You will be involved in Marine projects, primarily M&R dockings as well as services in the Protective Coatings segment. Furthermore, you will act as the technical counterpart to the sales organization in Denmark to support with clarifications on technical requirements, our products, and their end use. The customer base includes ship owners and operators, shipyards, coating application contractors, wind power and OEM manufacturers as well as engineer and planning companies.
In addition, your main tasks will be to:
• Advise on paint specification, provide recommendations for preparation and application
• Conduct inspections to ensure paint is applied in acceptable conditions and according to specification
• Complete visit and inspection reports accurately and promptly and prepare non-conformity reports when needed
• Provide technical advice and information on our products
• Ensure the timely delivery of paint and collection of returns at completion of the contract in cooperation with the customer order desk
• Provide training on selection and use of our products as well as on general knowledge on corrosion protection and coating application
• Solve technical issues, trouble shooting and complaint investigations
• Cooperate with sales and key account management in keeping and improving the customer relationship.
• Support the regional team in preparing technical documents for bids and offers
• Proactively recommend service from the charged services portfolio
You will be part of a wonderful and committed team of technicians and an expanded team of sales, customer order desk and colleagues from central functions.
This is a permanent employment in Denmark with frequent traveling in the wider region. We expect majority of working time will be spent in Denmark. Frequent traveling to Sweden and other regions occurs depending on where projects are executed. There may be traveling in the Cluster region and also globally.
You will be offered home office. Preferable you live in the Odense/South part of Denmark. You will report to Regional Technical Service Manager.
Who you are?
To succeed as Technical Service representative, you need to have a strong technical knowledge combined with understanding industrial business processes. You should have at least 3 years’ experience in technical services, or in a coatings supervisory / QC environment related to Marine and Protective coatings.
Understanding of corrosion protection by coatings is a key competence, as well as good knowledge about our customers industry. Very beneficial is also experienced in ship M&R docking projects and holding a NACE Level 2 or FROSIO Level 3 certificate.
As a person are you structured in your way of working and understand the importance of planning your activities, as well as reporting the outcome of them. Goal oriented, relationship building and customer focused are words that describes you. You speak and write fluent in Danish and are fluent in writing and speaking in English. You should be comfortable in speaking and presenting in front of people.
