The HVDC market for large scale offshore wind is booming as an enabler in the energy transitions. In these projects, we have a larger scope of automation systems compared to on shore HVDC. To meet these requirements, we are forming a new and dedicated engineering department with a focus on Automation; overall SCADA and HMI systems, IT/OT infrastructure, cyber security, telecom systems and electrical design. We are looking for people with long experience in industrial or electrical automation systems to work on tenders and projects together with our external sub-supplier partners.
As a Technical Solution Owner, you will be technically responsible for Electrical Design, CAD and secondary systems integration defined in tender and execution projects.
Our delivery model is to use both external partners for the major part as well as taking responsibility for our own design. The role will be both to guide, specify and review our partners’ work and ensure it fits into the overall solution as well as contributing with electrical design solutions.
Your responsibilities
Part of Technical management as base solution responsible for integration of the AC secondary design and building auxiliary systems.
Tool management for the E3 CAD tool.
Support the technical responsible teams and the tender & conceptual team.
Obtain and maintain knowledge about relevant applicable standards.
Keep track of technical issues, new releases and any relevant information and share it between all projects.
Review technical solutions in projects.
Your background
15+ years of experience in CAD system management including base solution as well as database and report development.
Highly skilled in E3 CAD is a must, including knowhow of the latest and greatest features available in the application.
Competence in additional CAD systems is a plus.
Experience of secondary design within the power systems business.
General knowhow of main components used in substation environment.
Good understanding of common low voltage control system components used for industrial solutions.
