Technical Support Coordinator

You will be part of the Volvo Technical Support team where you will give technical support and solve technical problems concerning Volvo trucks, busses and Penta. You will assist dealers, from different parts of Europe, in their own language.
The dealer will contact you with problems to which he cannot find the solution. These include questions about parts, electronics, etc. Together you will try to find the correct way to solve this problem. This requires an analytical and problem solving mind.
You are in contact with designers and product engineers. You handle their information in such a manner that repeated questions from customers can be avoided.

You have a technical background (car mechanics, electro mechanics, mechanics, etc.) or you have reached an equal level by experience. If you don't have a technical background but you have a strong interest in cars, trucks or engines or these are a hobby of yours, you can also apply for this function. You have the ability to write and understand technical documents. You have good communication and facilitation skills.

You are fluent in English in combination with another European language (such as Swedish)- knowledge of Dutch is not a must.
You are willing to work in a shift system (6-14hrs, 8-16 hrs, 11-19 hrs, 14-22hrs).

Our client, the Technical Support Team within Volvo Parts Customer Solutions, is an international contact support centre that delivers aftermarket solutions for trucks, busses and Penta, mainly for Europe.
The centre is based in Oostakker (near Ghent - Belgium).
