Technical Support Engineer


Nasdaq is now looking for a Technical Support Engineer in our European Market Operations with a drive for solving technical cases for our customers.


European Market Operations is responsible for cash and derivatives operations for equity, fixed income and commodities trading for Nordic and Baltic exchanges, the Nordic Clearing House and Broker Services. We aim to provide the highest quality of service to our clients by implementing processes and system enhancements that will improve services, minimize risks and establish efficient operations.


With this position we offer


As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be part of the Technical Support Team for our exchange system, Genium INET. The Technical Support Team is part of the wider Exchange Services team. Together with your colleagues, you will build and maintain strong client relationships and provide day-to-day client support. This is an exciting opportunity for you to leverage your knowledge and passion for technology and further deepen your knowledge of the financial markets by working in the heart of the exchange.


Your role and responsibilities


In this role, you will:


Provide first line support to our exchange members on a daily basis by solving both standard and complex technical problems ranging from trading protocols, connectivity, market data and trading-related queries


Be involved in cross-platform projects and releases, providing support to the organization as well as testing new functionality.


Be proactive with clients problems and will be a key person to identify and troubleshoot issues of minor and critical levels.


We expect you to have


Degree within Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field


Approximately 2 years of relevant experience, preferably from the banking industry with knowledge in financial applications and protocols


Ability to prioritize, organize and complete work tasks within given timelines


Great communicative and interpersonal skills to handle customer-related queries


Excellent teamwork skills


Interest in the financial markets, such as equities, derivatives and fixed income trading
