Volvo Cars is on an ambitious journey to redefine what it means to own a vehicle during one of most innovative times in the transport industry. Volvo Cars is looking to redefine all aspects of the car ecosystem including ownership, autonomous driving, vehicle electrification, sustainability and online shopping. We are now seeking for a Technical Support Engineer to join us! 

Who we are
At Global Technical Support, you are part of a global team with the purpose to safeguard that our consumers continuously have the freedom to move, by providing preventative & precise support for our mobility solutions. Our mission is to provide customers with solutions for their problems by acting preventatively, at high speed with maximum precision.

What you will do
•    Support workshops globally with technical solutions and quality improvements for electrical troubleshooting
•    Participate in meetings (bi-weekly) with all markets (US, EMEA, APAC) where quality projects and problems are discussed and managed
•    Lead the projects that are managed. Shake hands with PO, plan, follow-up and reporting
•    See patterns from cases where there are systematic errors and direct this to the line to get fixed
•    Hold an intake meeting with Pos for complete troubleshooting (wiring diagram, editorial, diagnosis and VIDA). Follow-up regarding “Top concerns”
•    Dialogue with R&D to bring up improvements
•    Create market concerns
•    Write SPJ

You and your skills 
We believe you have a university graduation in a technical field of engineering (or equivalent work life experience). As you will communicate with stakeholders globally, it is very important to have solid spoken and written English skills, as well as strong presentation skills. Most of all, we believe you are strongly passionate about the technical side of our cars, with the end-customer in focus and pushing our innovation forward.
Aftermarket experience is meritorious.

You are a true team player who collaborates across teams, levels, and locations, as interacting and balancing internal stakeholders is a part of every workday. We believe you are curious, good at networking and making contacts, which is necessary in this position to solve problems. You are a self starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment. You are also a person with high integrity that feel comfortable to stand up for your findings in a way that creates trust.
