Position Description
Are you analytical, have knowledge in SW architecture, like problem solving of complex systems in test vehicles and want to be part of a great team?
If the answer is YES, then look no further and apply for the job as Technical Support Engineer in the Complete Powertrain Calibration & Driving Performance team.


Complete Powertrain Calibration is responsible for vehicle related functions, that heavily impact the perceived user experience of the truck.
You will belong to a group with great team spirit and a lot of experience. The group of about ten people consists of vehicle calibration engineers, a driving performance team and a problem-solving support team that supports our engineers, should there be any powertrain issues in a rig, on a field test or in an application truck.


Core Responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for the support of the overall Powertrain system functionality in the test fleet and in test rigs, primarily in the engine management system but also in other Powertrain control systems. The work is done through troubleshooting HW & SW, by evaluating data and through analysis of the SW architecture & logic.


Professional skills
We are looking for the following profile:
Experience from using Vision, Engineering Tool, TechTool, IMPACT, TargetLink, CANalyzer, SEWS1/2, PIL, CRETA, KOLA, PE Tool Chain.
Experience from in vehicle troubleshooting of Powertrain systems together with good engine, transmission and aftertreatment system knowledge, HW and SW.
You can read and analyze log files.
General Truck and Bus knowledge.
You’re trained in the truck electrical architecture.
You can troubleshoot electrical harnesses.
High voltage propulsion system knowledge.
You’re good at networking across the organization.
You can drive improvements in tools, methods and in the way of working.

We believe that you as a person are analytical, structured and equipped with planning skills. You are self-directed and have the ability to multitask. You enjoy teamwork, contribute with team spirit and like assuming personal responsibility.
Most of the work is performed in vehicles. Therefore, a commercial driver’s license (CE & DE) is a merit. Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written are required.
