Your role

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will answer technical questions from the users of the Gripen and future system through our home office with location at Saab in Tannefors, Linköping. You will give advice, support and instructions regarding the operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the Gripen and also future systems.

You work with incoming assignments and through collaboration within the colleagues in the support group and take help internally of, among other things, maintenance engineers, system engineers and chief engineers to solve technical problems. The assignments vary in complexity. Everything from that you can answer the customer directly that you need to take help internally and you pass it on internally for some form of technical investigation. You are responsible for all your cases from start to finish and it is important that you keep a constant dialogue with the customer based on their current status.

You will handle issues around the systems in the aircraft, peripheral equipment and associated support systems, which gives you a great opportunity to get a complete understanding of the entire Gripen system. Through direct contact with users, you also build up a good knowledge of how the systems work in the daily operations of our various customers.

For the right person, as part of this service, it will be possible to take on internal projects concerning, for example, new customers and our future management of their technical support solutions.

Your profile

You have:

* A suitable background is experienced aerospace engineer, system engineer or aerospace engineer or other relevant experience.
* Excellent skills in communication, cooperation and have a willingness to help others and make an effort to deliver solutions.
* Good knowledge in Swedish and English, both in speech and in writing.

Desired skills:

* Experience from technical support.
* Openness for new future possibilities.
* Good system knowledge and enjoy working with the whole system.
* Knowledge within RML and previously worked in process-controlled activities.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.

You will belong to the section Technical Support, which works with the products JAS 39 Gripen and T7. The section currently consists of 11 employees, of whom two work in the advertised role today.
