Region NCE > SBU NCE Service > Troubleshooting North & West
Troubleshooters North West is a sub department of Technical Support NCE, which support regionally the Service and Construction business with technical knowledge and acts as the link between R&D and local business units.
Main tasks for the department include providing advanced remote troubleshooting and planning on stopped turbines, direct support to service technicians in the field, software focus including remote upload, turbine performance, creating VGAs (guides to technicians), providing answers to technical questions both internal and external to customers, and attending customer meetings were required.
As a part of Technical Support NCE, you will be included in a highly experienced and dedicated team, taking leadership for implementing Vestas's strategy, focusing on customers and safety, combined with providing technical knowledge to the Service and Construction organisations and local business units.
Responsibilities
The position requires accuracy and professionalism as the quality and personal safety of our service work are highly considered. To achieve goals in this role, we believe you possess good knowledge of electricity as well as being service-minded.
Your responsibilities will include:
Handling stopped turbines on daily basis in a shift plan
Identifying the correct paperwork/documentation, components and toolings to be able to handle the daily tasks
Remote as well as on-site support in troubleshooting of difficult-to-solve/first-of-its-kind issues
Creating, updating, and maintaining guides (VGAs) for Service Technician.
Updating Task lists and documentation, ensuring technical knowledge is shared within the team
Providing timely responses and supporting the Service and Construction organisation
Being the link between Troubleshooters North West and Technology R&D
Qualifications
In order to be fully effective with the tasks, we believe that you are a person who has knowledge of electricity or mechanics, is service-oriented and business-minded.
Great communication skills in English, both oral and in writing. Local language are valuable for this position
Electrical or mechanical education + experience from the wind industry. Or, relevant technical education, such as: Electrical, Mechanical or Marine Engineering
Several years in the field in troubleshooting or other technical experience – preferably from within Vestas
Professional PC skills - SAP, Microsoft office suite
Good knowledge of WTG control systems (VOB, Toolkit, VTM, etc.)

Additional information
This position will be based either in the regional head office, or remotely at a local Vestas hub, flexible to the candidate's current location. The position involves traveling with overnight stays for various further educations as well as assistance in other areas, approximately 30 days per year. A requirement for obtaining employment is that one is approved for the mast and pole certificate, which consists of a stress EKG and medical examination, which is carried out during the recruitment process.
