Job Description
As a Technical System Engineer, you will work within the Technical Service Area Network. We are focusing on operating and managing the H&M Network and at the same time developing the next generation Network infrastructure for a cloud-based application delivery, collapsing our Network, and running Network as a code to increase end user experience and Network availability for our business across all locations around the world. We work closely with suppliers and outsourced functions to govern optimal spend and cooperation within the Network domain.

As a Technical System Engineer, you will join the new TSA Network Operations team that is being formed. The new team mission is to Provide “World Class” Network Infrastructure Operations by delivering Security, Predictability, Proactiveness, Realtime Visibility, Performance and Quality in cooperation with our operational delivery partner. You will be in the center of the action contributing and learning new skills every day making sure that H&Ms Global Network Operations delivery is in line with business needs.
Responsibilities
Visualize performance to ensure system availability, capacity, network paths, and reliability.
Design and drive initiatives to improve the platform.
Optimize our systems for quality and scalability.
Collaborate with external vendors as well as internal stakeholders.
Analyze systems requirements and product support.
Specify and shape the system requirements and operations.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Contribute to the Domain and Product Area strategy and OKRs.
Striving for cost efficiency and automation based on trends and new technologies for service-visualization.
Provide technical engineering and best practices concerning Life Cycle within Network.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices, making recommendations as needed to help our company develop.



Qualifications
Who are you?
As a Technical System Engineer at H&M Group we believe you are a true team player who has some years of experience of global IT and network environments with basic understanding of Agile methodology. You can take responsibility, work proactively and continuously improve activities in complex, quickly transforming environments You will be a key player and we believe you are self-driven, adaptable, collaborative, open-minded and able to work in a flexible environment with a non-prestigious approach.
Furthermore, we believe you have:
Experience from network delivery and operations from large information technology companies or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with system monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools.
Hands-on experience with scripting for network automation needs.
A curious mindset to learn and understand how the Network delivery can support the business needs.
Strong documentation and good communication skills – both written and verbal.
Understanding in IP Networking and SDWAN.
Understanding of Cloud networking and cloud connectivity solutions in a multi-cloud environment.
Understanding of Network security (IPS, proxy, firewall, reverse-proxy, load balancing, VPN), Datacenter, and Wi-Fi.
Experience and knowledge of ITIL.
Experience of working with APIs and system integrations.
Fluent in English, Swedish is a merit.
