We are called Ericsson Packet Core (PC) and we deliver connectivity technology with terabyte throughput in combination with extensive configuration options for traffic control and information collection for our customers. Our headquarter is at Lindholmen (Gothenburg, Sweden) but we also have operations in Shanghai, Madrid, Budapest, Beijing and Bangalore.
Ericsson Packet Core Gateway (PDU PC Gateway) as part of PC in Lindholmen, are now looking for an ambitious and creative Technical Test Coordinator (TTC) with telecom business experience, wanting to further learn and grow together with us. We develop Control- and User Plane Gateway products for the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) and 5G Core (5GC), handling packet data services in the access network. Node deployments is carried out on native hardware, on VMs and on containers in a cloud environment.
As TTC, you will work closely with the test program and the development teams as well as external organizations/partners to coordinate test activities and test scope in order to assure the right quality per release. You are involved in proactive work as responsible for test investigation in feature analysis and provide support to development teams (XFT) from test aspects in early phases. You will also actively drive e.g. changed ways of working and resource impact related to testing of new features when identified in the analysis phase. Some of the challenges are maintaining focus on priorities, communicate, inspire and be active in test related activities needed to drive the area towards the product vision.
You will
Support securing quality for Packet Core product and solution releases. This by reviewing test analysis and test scope as well as coordinating test activities both inside and outside the respective local development organization. Additionally, to develop, improve and communicate cost efficient/effective test strategies, including visualization from both a short and long-term perspective. The TTC should also support and deploy the Test Strategy. TTC concentrates on the “WHAT” to test.
Main responsibilities include:
Develop, deploy, improve and communicate the test strategy.
Develop and maintain test documentation templates.
Together with Test Architect (TA) handle co-ordination and prioritization of test tools/frameworks, including test automation for feature development.
Define guiding principles for regression and maintenance test scopes.
Drive, in collaboration with TA, the overall test analysis for larger features e.g. new HW generations, new platforms, system critical features, etc.
Support in customer related questions.
Cooperate with other organizations regarding test policies and practices.
Coordinate test activities following F-model to support feature development and delivery
Support product release work.
Co-operate with relevant Test Leads.
Responsible for “the what” in the test activity and owner of the test scope.
Analysis of FST and RCA result to identify actions, improvements and drive deployment in test activities.
