Technical Writer

Responsibilities
In collaboration with senior engineers and technical experts develop and communicate the engineering standards of the organization.
Create clear and concise guidance for hardware and software engineering in the unique context of a world-leading particle accelerator facility.
Create engineering guidelines
Translate complex technical concepts into accessible documentation
Document technical architecture rules for ESS control systems for various control hardware families.
Document guidelines for software development and data in ESS control systems.
Document instructions for configuration and maintenance of ESS control systems.



Required Qualifications
BSc in relevant field.
Demonstrated expertise in creating guidelines for the development and engineering of control systems, electronics-centric products, software technology, and/or data services.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills as the role requires many interactions with different teams and experts.
Strong drive and ability to self-manage
Excellent oral and written English skills



Optional qualifications
MSc in Computer Science, Informatics, Control System Engineering, Software Development, or Industrial Plant Engineering
Experience with the engineering alignment for digital technology in medium-sized organizations.
Experience with control systems and technical data processing in large facilities, such as robotic factories, chemical plants, power plants, and/or transportation systems.
Experience with technical information management systems (product life cycle management systems).
Experience with large research facilities or projects, such as particle accelerators, telescopes, or geoinformation systems
