Technical writer

We are looking for a technical writer to join the group within the Video Product Management department.The technical writer group is responsible for the production of all user documentation for all Axis products, both hardware and software.The user documentation consists of installation guides, manuals, CDs, web pages and help files.It also involves management of translations.Some user documentation is printed, some published in PDF format on the www.axis.com web site. The group is also responsible for the development of the next generation user documentation. Duties in short: - write and maintain different types of user documentation.- write and maintain help pages.- independently manage translation projects develop the next generation of the user documentation. We would expect the successful candidate for this position to have/be: - several years of experience as a technical writer.- fluent in written English, preferably native speaking.- minimum knowledge required is Adobe FrameMaker, Photoshop & HTML, other programs are an advantage.- experience of other types of documentation, e.g.on-line documentation is a plus good communication skills.- interest in working with technical equipment.
