We are searching for a Technical writer to join our team at Digpro’s headquarters in Stockholm. We’re expanding to new markets and investing more than ever in our products – we need your help to succeed.
About the job
As a technical writer at Digpro, you work with technical user guides for our GIS applications. The work includes collecting, producing and packaging our technical user guides. As a technical writer, you will be an important part in our work with development and delivery of new GIS functionality to our Swedish and foreign customers, with the end user in focus.
The tasks also include producing and packaging training materials for the various courses that we arrange for our customers.
As a technical writer at Digpro, we see that you can work independently, but also close to developers and product owners as a member of our development teams. You will have close contact with our experts in each area and learn a lot about the product and the industry along the way.
It is becoming more and more important to develop help in the right format. In the role, you will work actively with the future of technical documentation.
What you’ll do
• Build, maintain and deliver product documentation in multiple languages
• Design content that is informative, concise and easy to use for our end customers
• Create clear, understandable and easy to use training material for trainers and end-customers
• Work inside our teams with developers, UX-designer, consultants and product managers
• Maintain, organize, standardize and update existing documentation
• Partake in product development projects
• Improve our way of working with documentation to meet changing customer demands
Who you are
• Relevant education in media, IT or communication (from university or vocational courses)
• Previous work experience as a technical writer (preferred)
• Knowledge and experience in CMS tools
• An excellent communicator and fluent in English and Swedish
• A team player, willing to share information and expertise with other team members
• User-centric, someone who knows how to translate technical solutions into user friendly, easy to use guides.
• Enthusiastic; you like to stay up to date with the latest trends regarding documentation and are interested in growing in the role
• Have a feeling for good documentation design
• Meticulous and structured
• A strong individual contributor with a natural ability to build relationships
