For more than 35 years, our team at SICK Linköping has successfully developed and delivered software for technical leading products within the field of 2D and 3D vision, as well as system solutions for i.e. robot guidance and quality control.
Main tasks
As a Technical Writer you are responsible for the production and maintenance of user manuals for our products within the area of Machine Vision. To succeed you seek active cooperation with colleagues within other disciplines such as R&D and Product Management to stay updated on new and proceeding projects, and independently make a project plan for the production of the technical documentation and maintenance of documents throughout the whole lifecycle of our products.
You are a part of a global team and work tightly with the Product Management Service team in Germany.
You need
You need a couple of years of experience of similar work, a university degree within a technical discipline as well as a general technical understanding. Great skills in the English language, both spoken and written is a prerequisite. If you also have knowledge in German that is a plus. Production of technical documentation in a XML-based CMS system (like, SCHEMA ST4 by Quanos Content Solutions, TIM by Fischer Information, COSIMA by Docufy or ideally Smart Media Creator by EC Systems) is a prerequisite. Experience from Jira is favorable as well as experience of project management.
