Technical communicator ​

Since launching PureBallast in 2006, we’ve achieved a market-leading position and sold over 6000 systems to ship owners and shipyards globally. As environmental legislation gains momentum, it will drive our business even more rapidly in coming years and we are expanding at a high pace. Now we’re looking for a technical communicator who wants to help us make a difference in the world. So, what are you going to do today?

About the job

As technical communicator you maintain and update product documentation for PureBallast. The technical documentation serves as a base for spreading the knowledge about our products within the company and to our customers. You make sure that the documentation is structured in a good way and work proactively to improve the documentation and adopt it to new needs

Key tasks:

- Improve and develop the information structure

- Maintain the complete document flora (including archive) for all products

- Profile information using XML and Dita definitions in our document tools

- Restructure documentation to fit new purposes

- Migrate documents to new document tools

- Administrate document releases (update drawings, generate PDFs and publish them in different systems.)

- Improve our working process.

Who are you?

You are technical oriented with great communication skills and find it easy to express yourself in writing and orally. You are curious, driven and take initiative to improve. You enjoy working in team and is generous with your knowledge, as well as taking responsibility to solve things by yourself.

What you know:

- Hold a university degree in engineering or similar

- Experience from a similar position

- Fluent in English

- Have knowledge and experience from XML and topic-based writing and experience from creating structures in topic-based text.

The PureBallast product is marketed and sold entirely by Alfa Laval and you will act within the global Alfa Laval organization, with many international contacts, both internally and externally. You will be employed by AlfaWall AB in Tumba.
