Assa Abloy is now seeking a Technical Writer to join their team in Landskrona. You will be part of a dynamic R&D team for technical documentation and work with products within Assa Abloy's Business Segment Pedestrian (BSP). Main products include Sliding Doors, Swing doors, Revolving doors, and Security Entrance Control products. Assa Abloy's door automation solutions serve millions of people in public areas, and Assa Abloy takes pride in adhering to multiple national and international safety standards without compromising user experience, energy efficiency, sustainability, or safety.

Work tasks

As a Technical Writer, you will work across diverse technical domains and collaborate with colleagues from various departments and teams. Your role involves translating complex technical language into comprehensible manuals, tailored to the right target audience. You will use tools like SolidWorks Composer and Adobe Illustrator to create clear visual guides. In this role, you are expected to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and ensure that deadlines are met.

Within your area of responsibility, the following tasks are included:


* Develop clear, accurate, and user-friendly manuals, installation guides, product specifications, and maintenance documents.
* Work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to gather insights and ensure that the documentation aligns with product functionalities and standards.
* Create or collaborate on visuals, such as diagrams, images, and flowcharts, to complement written documentation.
* Ensure that all documentation complies with relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and regulations.
* Update and refine documentation to reflect changes, ensuring that users and support teams always have access to the latest information.


VI SÖKER DIG SOM
- Someone who has a bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
- Someone who has work experience as a Technical Writer in a technical environment.
- A person with excellent writing skills in English who communicates confidently both orally and in writing.
- An individual proficient in SolidWorks Composer (or similar) and Adobe Illustrator for creating technical illustrations.

It is meritorious if you have
- Experience with CCMS tools such as Quanos Schema ST4.
- Familiarity with automatic door systems or similar mechanical systems.
- Certification in technical documentation, such as Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC).
- Basic knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Knowledge can be obtained through education, experience, or being self-taught.
