Overview
The Global Hygiene Supply (GHS) organization contributes to making SCA a highly successful global hygiene company by having the safest, most efficient and lowest cost product supply base. We are currently looking for Technology Area Engineers based either in Gothenburg or outside Sweden. Within the GHS organization, the purpose of the Global Technology & Planning Personal Care function is to: • Secure overall control of capacity/demand planning in the medium- and long term. • Responsibility for developing and maintaining the technology roadmap supporting innovation. • Develop machine platform(s) targeting supporting future needs and different market and factory needs. • Operational responsibility to establish and manage relationships with machine suppliers. • Support the innovation process trough active participation in innovation projects Position To support the above we are looking for experienced Technology Area Engineers for Technology Area Packaging. The Technology Area Engineer holds the overall control of technology Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) in assigned feasibility studies, developments and implementations within the Technology Area or specific involved Technology Platform. The role holds the responsibility to define technical requirements and deliverables in activities/projects according to platform plans. It is operational responsible within projects or line tasks to execute development and implementation of technology through partnership and cooperation with external suppliers.
Main Tasks
• Be technology responsible in development projects together with R&D, Innovation Teams, factories and suppliers • Secure alignment between technology deliverables and BU's technical KPI's • Steer external suppliers in assigned projects • Drive supplier development (including technical capabilities) in assigned projects • Plan and lead packaging technology part of projects in line with of Technology Area strategy, balancing innovation, asset flexibility, productivity, quality and ROCE. • Define packaging technology for capacity projects in line with Technology Area strategy • Secure that manufacturability and technology possibilities are taken into consideration throughout the various development stages. • Prepare Capex input in assigned projects • Identify and decide on best available solutions for platform needs in supplier market • Manage Intellectual property (IP) topics within assigned projects
Key Competencies
• University degree or equivalent within relevant practice • Knowledge in Personal Care manufacturing technologies • Experience from manufacturing operations, technology and/or R&D • International work orientation or experience • Experience from external supplier relations As part of the GHS team working in an international environment it's also required that successful candidates are able to: • Take a broad stakeholder perspective and value diversity • Drive continuous improvements and demonstrate a sense of urgency • Share best practices • Independently translate general directions into a proposed way forward and anchor with relevant stakeholders • Build trust in an open environment by involving others and building effective teams • Drive a winning attitude and show perseverance • Act as a team player • Take strong ownership to passionately and ambitiously deliver on or beyond agreed goals and aspirations • Show a strong leadership including having high interpersonal communication- and networking skills • Embrace and apply new methods and tools relevant for the profession.
