Technology Engineer at NASDAQ OMX

Perido Skills is looking for a suitable candidate for the position as technology engineer at one of the most renowned companies in the world, NASDAQ OMX. You will be a valued member of a team that has a broad and deep knowledge in installations, configurations, and operations both in the hardware and software field. The team manages over 1000 systems and is for example responsible for all test- and development systems as well as all test- and development networks. The team is furthermore specialized in customer production systems, performance and fail-over setups and it is therefore only natural that, members of the group, help our customers with installations, different operational tests, design studies and advanced troubleshooting both on-site and via VPN-connections. Some of your tasks include: . Be responsible in the development of network solutions for different customer solutions. . Participate in the work to make a reliable and secure environment for test and development. . Troubleshooting network, operating system, layered software, and OMX developed software. . Work with new technology that has been introduced in the team, Blade servers, Storage, virtual machines (VMWare). . Install OS (Windows, Linux, UNIX, VMS) and layered software on test environments. . Introduce new technology to use on test environments . Develop tools for test environments . Be up to date on latest technology Requirements - University degree in computer networking/engineering or similar - Good knowledge in network, TCP/IP and communication security - It's a plus if you have good knowledge in operating systems such as Windows, Linux and VMS and/or experience in programming - You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal We believe you are an analytical and thorough person who enjoys working with new technologies and techniques.
