An exciting opportunity opens within FSM Base Materials. Our primary area of responsibility is to develop an ecosystem of suppliers that have the capability to secure sustainable competitive and qualified base materials that are delivered to our factories with consistent customer-focused quality level and to support the Tetra Pak material innovation agenda.
You will lead a central competence center available for the Tetra Pak organization which handle base material supplier management and development of base material specifications within the field of paperboard.
This role will put you in contact with key internal and external stakeholders across different functional and international borders. You will be reporting to the Director Technology and be a member of the Base Material Technology management team.


Your will be based in Lund, Sweden.


What you will do
Lead and develop people and competence in the Paperboard Technology with many senior members
Develop and implement the global paperboard supply strategies in close connection with procurement including fit-for-purpose supply of responsibility sourced liquid packaging board at competitive cost, agile supply, consistent quality over time, 100% FSC certified and 50% greenhouse gas emissions reductions across the supply base by 2030.
Own the content of the technology roadmap for paperboard
Develop specification portfolio towards evolving customer quality, supply and cost demands
Assure suppliers’ compliance to specifications and push for quality improvement
Lead Technology Know-How and Issue Resolution activities
Implement and execute the respective contracts securing engagement to deliver our key strategic 2030 goals including fit-for-purpose supply of responsibility sourced liquid packaging board at competitive cost, agile supply, consistent quality over time, 100% FSC certified and 50% greenhouse gas emissions reductions across the supply base by 2030.



Who you are
You have proven leadership and collaboration skills and the ability to drive and implement change. You are an open person who actively shares knowledge with others. You have a passion in developing your direct reports and others. Building relations comes easy to you both with external as well as internal stakeholders and you know how to balance listening with persuasion and helpfulness with firmness. You are analytical and organised which makes it easy for you to create a structure and keep track on many parallel issues. You are a good communicator and excellent at both spoken and written English.


Your educational background is a relevant university degree in engineering or material science at a Master’s level or above. You have preferable solid knowledge about the paperboard manufacturing industry or related technologies with 5-10 year of practice and also a minimum of 5 years’ experience of people leadership. Experience with cusomer issue resolution, converting and food packaging applications is a clear advantage, as well as experience in production and quality management, strategic account management and technology development.
