Technology Manager Polymers

Base Materials within Tetra Pak Packaging Solutions AB is looking for a Technology Manager for the Polymers area.
You will be responsible for the quality strategy for Polymers as well as the continuous improvement of its specifications.As specification owner you will contribute in projects that drive the translation of system requirements to material specifications.Together with the commercial manager you will be responsible to secure supply into Tetra Pak's global network of converting factories.You will be involved in quality development activities with current suppliers as in the qualification of new suppliers.A group of experienced engineers will report to you and you will be their inspiring and driving leader.This technology group is Tetra Pak's competence centre for Polymers and it is vital to continuously develop the competence in line with Tetra Pak's needs.Regular contacts with global suppliers and Tetra Pak's converting factories will require a fair amount of travelling.

Your main responsibilities will be:
-Lead and develop the Polymers technology group
-Develop and drive the quality strategy
-Manage the technology perspective of the supply base
-Drive continuous improvement of specifications
Initiate and drive quality and cost improvement activities

Kvalifikationer

The successful candidate has a University degree in Materials Technology or equivalent and some years of experience on a management level within industry.

We are looking for a strong leader with the motivation to develop the organisation and the people within it.It is also important that you are able to handle multiple projects.You are result-driven, a good communicator and good at building relationships in different cultural environments.You are fluent in written and spoken English and are willing to travel.

You will report to Philipp Baumann, Head of Base Materials, Tetra Pak International, Lausanne, Switzerland.
