Duties
The Procurement Agent is responsible to provide a broad range of procurement and acquisition functions that include supplier analysis, sourcing, selection, negotiation, contracting, and supply chain management.
Job holder will manage all routine procurements. Under the supervision of the procurement supervisor, prepare contracts, establish the contract terms, conditions and provisions for pricing, paying and financing; develop Funding Opportunity Announcements; and review bidding applications, supplemental awards, and requests for extensions are carried out.
Sourcing of products, services with a sustainable and environmentally friendly mindset where applicable. Establish good relationship with vendors and seek network opportunities to optimize vendor portfolio.
Review offers, negotiate, award, modify and terminate contracts as required. Act as a knowledgeable source for defining the method of acquisition and the type of contract to be used. This position executes approximately $1.5 million in routine procurement actions comprising mainly of blanket purchase agreements, purchase orders and simplified contracts.
Job holder utilizes the Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS) to prepare, execute and monitor contracts.
Job holder plays an active role in the end-of-year procurement process.
Requirements:
Experience: 1-2 years experience working in a business/accounting environment procuring a wide variety of products and services.
Education Requirements: Completion of secondary school.
Language:
Fluent Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.
