Arbetsbeskrivning
To identify and co-ordinate programs for speakers to promote U.S. policy in Sweden on current topics and according to the Mission Program Plan.
Identify potential influential persons in various areas and maintain extensive contact with post's audiences and co-hosting institutions.
Advise the Public Affairs Officer (PAO) and Assistant Public Affairs Officer (APAO) on changes and trends in Swedish political, economic, military and cultural affairs.
Translate documents from Swedish to English, or English to Swedish, as needed.
Provide a complete back up to the PAS press specialist with all the duties that this entails (media requests, preparing press briefings, etc.).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree in Political Science, Economy, History, Journalism, or related fields.
Familiarity with politics, educational institutions, and cultural life in Sweden. An ability to speak and write fluently in Swedish and English. ALL ORDINARY RESIDENT APPLICATIONS MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION.
