Temporary Seasonal Visa Clerk

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:
Assist officers and staff in the processing of visitor visa applications and responding to requests for information from the public. Enter and proofread basic data on visa applicants and their applications into computer. Receive and send faxes, and make telephone calls, regarding incoming requests for visa interviews and general inquires regarding visitor visa processing. Review incoming faxes to separate those requesting visitor visa services and information; provide answers to public inquiries or direct incoming requests to appropriate members of visa staff. Help maintain records on passports returned to applicants and their representatives. Answer phone calls to NIV section and direct callers to permanent staff as required.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Must speak, read and write English and Swedish. Experience in clerical work.
Ability to draft basic correspondence in English and Swedish. Ability to work as a member of a team and with the public.

ALL ORDINARILY RESIDENT APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED WORK AND/OR RESIDENCY PERMITS TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
1. This position is available to Swedish nationals or permanent legal residents as well as
to American citizens with permanent residence permits in Sweden, under the terms of
the Rockefeller amendment authorizing Embassies to hire Americans abroad for FSN
positions, and Embassy American Family Members.
2. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
3. Applicants are selected for appointment on the basis of the education, experience, and suitability for the position to be filled.
4. Applicants are subject to limited security investigation and clearance.
