At our global protection and control development center for transmission applications in Sweden our development team creates products for digitalization of the grid automation business enabling Industrial Internet of Things, enhancing reliability as well as situational awareness in power systems.
We are now looking for a senior C++ developer who has observed how quickly technologies are changing for software development and is intrigued by finding the right new technologies (HW and SW) to make you and your team more productive.

Your responsibilities
Design and implement innovative software solutions for real-time, embedded, and mission critical systems using multiple operating systems.
Lead and drive continuous improvements of coding standards, tooling and test methodologies.
Prototype and participate in research projects for novel technologies increasing quality and speed to market.
Take active part in proactive quality work through continuous integration, test automation, static code analysis etc.
Work actively with refactoring, increased test coverage and holistic reviews to sustain maintainability of code base.
Identify technology opportunities and risks in the technology landscape for developments relevant to the embedded domain.
Your background
Advanced skills in C++ and Linux development
Experience in embedded real-time systems development preferably with experience in development for multithreaded applications and multicore platforms
University degree and either a couple of years professional experience or PhD studies within software engineering, computer science or similar
Experience and commitment of working with Agile methods for development of embedded systems
Inner revelation about the importance of testability and test automation of code
As a person you recognize the difference between high quality software and heavy processes
You understand the importance and power of continuous improvements within the team to achieve and sustain great results

The main office and lab in Sweden for protection and control development is located in Västerås. Employee needs to reside in Sweden and is expected to be able to visit office each week.
