HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids located in Ludvika. The unit develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. This developed HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. HVDC is also used to connect power systems. This position is located in Västerås or Ludvika.
Your responsibilities
Tender work for commissioning scope
Office Based position, sporadic travels
Review of technical specifications
Preparation of tender documentation
Time schedule adaptation for commissioning
Prepare site Man-Loading Charts and calculate the respective Costs
Support to commissioning engineers in field
Your tasks will be varied, and you will have the unique opportunity to work in a global environment
Your background
You have a minimum of bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Experience in Commissioning work in plants of different sizes, complexities, and technologies, preferably internationally
Excellent skills in English are required, additional language skills are merit
Ability to handle many parallel activities
You consider yourself to be an excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to coach others in the commissioning area
