Are words your superpower, and do you enjoy guiding others in the craft of communication? Marketing communications are now looking for a Terminology Specialist with solid writing and editing skills. Our Tonality and Terminology team works across multiple functions at Axis, providing terminology and writing advice, research, and training for global audiences.

Who's your future team?
The Marketing Communications team delivers various media for online and offline channels such as creation of campaigns, brand communication, videos, photos, animations, illustrations, digital content, sales material, and more. We also set the standard for tonality and terminology at Axis. Our role is to maintain brand and tonality consistency throughout our communications with different target groups.

What you'll do here as Terminology Specialist?
As a Terminology Specialist in the Marketing Communication team, your primary responsibility is developing and maintaining the termbase and glossary for internal and external users. You communicate with subject-matter experts to determine appropriate terms for concepts and produce accurate, precise, and clear definitions for global audiences. And you provide terminology advice, research, and training.

As Terminology Specialist, you will:

* Facilitate communication by providing tools and resources that allow people to communicate and speak with one voice.
* Liaise with stakeholders to develop processes, tools, and resources that enable effective use of terms across the organization.
* Ensure that terms and definitions in the source language in the termbase and glossary comply with grammar and style guidelines.
* Stay up to date on inclusive language and update our termbase, guidelines, and training material to comply with Axis values and brand.
* Act as a terminology project manager in projects that involve a large set of concepts.
* Collaborate with SEO specialists, local term admins, translation team, and SMEs.
* Organize and lead terminology meetings. It includes being a member of our terminology approval board for features - the feature board. You attend the weekly meetings, and you may also chair them in the future.

Who are you?
We believe you are communicative by nature and enjoy writing. You have the ability to explore and promote your ideas and turn insights from data and research into recommendations and actions. You can detect and resolve terms and usage that are culture-bound or culturally biased.

You must have an affinity for process and project management, change management, and managing terminology in agile environments. It's essential you have an in-depth understanding of terminology management theory, principles, methods, and knowledge of linguistic principles.

Learning about advanced technology comes easily to you, and you enjoy turning complex ideas into simple language. As possibilities and limitations present themselves, you see them as an opportunity to grow and educate, continuously elevating terminology and communication within the company.

You should be able to work independently and in teams, handle multi-tasking work, and plan and prioritize tasks based on different deadlines. We value strong communication skills and cooperation as teamwork is an integral part of the Axis culture.

Fluency in English (preferably U.S. English) - if English is your second language, higher studies in (or proven equivalent experience) are required. Proficiency in at least one language in addition to English. Experience in terminology management systems (TMS), computer-assisted translation (CAT), or other relevant tools is a plus.
