About us
As part of our mission to enable the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way we have launching our first Battery Electric Vehicle, the XC40 P8 Recharge. It is powered by an in-house designed battery developed by our great battery team in Gothenburg. To follow this, we are now working on a new electric vehicle platform and several exiting products that all will be powered by Batteries designed and developed in-house

What you will do
Plan, order, prepare and analyse development and verification tests on high-voltage propulsion battery system. You will work with cell / module testing or with tests on complete battery systems. The work is done in close collaboration with the team members, product owner, scrum master, team manager, system architects and test engineers in the test rigs. The rigs can be either at Volvo’s internal battery lab or at external suppliers.
Some travelling to external test sites for support and fault tracing will occur.

You and your skills
You are a team player with strong communications skills and a genuine interest in technology. Your technical competence, as well as your ability to manage complexity in systems and collaboration with different teams should be strong so that you can make your own decisions and technical conclusions.

Requirements: 
* M.Sc. or bachelor’s degree, Chemistry, Mechatronics, Electrical or similar
* Knowledge in Li-ion technology or relevant area
* Enjoy working practically and can translate the results into theory
* Analysis of test results, e.g., using python or matlab.
* At least two years’ experience from an Automotive OEM or similar development area


Nice to have knowledge in:
* Electric propulsion development
* Experience from Software development
* Test development and equipment
