Our Exciting Opportunity
Product Development Unit Packet Core develops Mobile Core Network nodes with world class, market leading functionality, designed for cost effective, reliable and secure operations. PDU Packet Core is responsible for the development of 5G functionality PCC (Packet Core Controller) and PCG (Packet Core Gateway). Our headquarter is based in Lindholmen (Gothenburg, Sweden), but we also have operations in Shanghai and Kista.
In the Packet Core organization testing is done both by the cross-functional development teams, as well as dedicated teams performing extensive regression verification and system level testing. To be able to execute testing efficiently we strive for a high degree of automation in test environment for most of the test execution and parts of the analysis of test results. The new generation of our 5G products execute in a cloud-based environment so if you do not already have knowledge about cloud and virtualization you will be able to learn!
We are now looking for skilled, self-motivated and service-minded Test Architect to join the team.
This TA position is aiming towards Function Test Architecture.
You will
join technical leaders and provide technical leadership to teams that design, develop, implement, execute and evaluate test cases.
drive “testability” on a functional and non-functional test perspective
contribute to development strategy in the PDU
perform troubleshooting and problem solving of complex products
participate in continuous integration activities and industrialization of the delivery processes
be a technical contributor to test environment strategy and planning
work cross organization to align test environment and test WoW with other parts of the PDU organization
report to Manager of Mobility in Business Digital Services

We are looking for someone who:
puts attention to quality, about customers and has a passion for finding faults
has extensive knowledge about test methodology and test processes
loves troubleshooting and digging into complex problems where it is not evident what causes the failure or other symptoms
likes working in teams and sharing knowledge with others
has an energetic, positive “we can do it” attitude towards challenges, is curious and want to learn new skills!

To be successful in the role you must:
have BSC/MSC level in Computer Science or the equivalent level of knowledge
be fluent in English, written and spoken
understand our product, it is essential to comprehend IP protocols and IP-based routing in an embedded environment, knowledge of 3GPP standards and UNIX/LINUX
have strong expertise in Test Methodology and Test Automation
know Python, script languages or Java
