In this role you will be part of "Center of Competence Power Quality” (former FACTS), a business unit within Hitachi Energy. FACTS technology enables power systems owners to increase their existing power systems' capacity while improving electrical stability. The result is more electrical power can reach consumers with minimal environmental impact after shorter project times and at lower investment costs. This pioneering technology is developed at the Power Quality unit in Västerås and sold to customers worldwide.
Our team currently has a vacancy for a Test Area Responsible, at our Power Quality Service department. PQ Service takes care of our installed base from warranty phase through the complete lifetime of the plant. To maintain our installed base, we have a test area where we set up replicas of delivered systems within different generations of control system for fault tracing and corrections.
As Test Area Responsible, you will be supervising the work and maintain order in our test area. Your responsibilities include electrical installation oversight (shared with other Hitachi Energy units), serving as the electrical operations manager for PQ Service Engineering and driving improvements in Test Area activities. Additionally, you will engage in other service tasks based on your preferences, such as fault tracing, software implementation, root cause investigations, and lifecycle assessments.

Your responsibilities
Supervising the work and maintain order in our test area.
Engage in other service task based on your preferences.
Be a contact person for the PQ Service organization regarding our “Egenkontrollprogram” for electrical installations.
Frequent contact with other engineering groups, project managers, local Hitachi Energy offices, suppliers, and our customers.

Your background
You hold a degree in engineering, with a specialization in Electrical Engineering, Power systems, automatic control theory or similar is required.
You have a high focus on HSE and to be organized, responsive and solution-driven, with an interest in influencing people and to lead by example.
You are a driven team player who can communicate and collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in site or test lab work, understanding electrical risks, and familiarity with power plant deliveries are preferred. Swedish electrical authorization is beneficial but not required.
Hitachi Energy is a truly global company and proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required. Since this position will be closely connected to Swedish regulations and laws, written and spoken Swedish is a requirement.
