Are you a meticulous and quality-oriented person who enjoys working with practical and straightforward tasks? How about doing that in an innovative and sustainable scaleup with the mission to offer smarter ways of powering electronics? Then come and join the Epishine journey in the role as Test Assistant!
About Epishine
Epishine is a Swedish energy impact company, reimagining the capture of light with market leading printed organic solar cells. Our technology captures indoor light to make electronics self-powered, making cables, disposable batteries and unnecessary maintenance a thing of the past. At Epishine, we foster a culture of collaboration, creativity and innovation where we encourage our employees to challenge the status quo and drive innovation. Our company is now growing and we are looking for more driven talents who want to grow and develop together with us! Go to www.epishine.com to read more about Epishine and our vision.
The mission
As our Test Assistant, you'll be an important contributor in our R&D team by performing electrical performance measurements of our indoor solar cells (we also call them “modules”). This involves gathering test data to ensure top-notch quality. Your daily to-do list includes the cool stuff like electric characterization, which is done by placing a module in a type of box which conducts tests on the module. From these tests, you will receive basic graph data that you interpret.
As you will be somewhat of an expert in knowing where each of our modules are located in our facilities, you will be of great assistance to your R&D colleagues when they need a helping hand in finding them quickly. Other than this, you get to dabble in some other general lab wizardry.
These tasks might sound a bit technical, but they are very straightforward as they are carried out according to a standard routine. This role might thus not be ideal if you are a person who loves taking initiative and having a wide variety of tasks. However, if you enjoy working independently with a structured set of hands-on tasks according to a clear process, this could be for you!
As a Test Assistant at Epishine, you will be part of our R&D team, and more specifically contribute to our quality assurance work. You will work closely together with our Laboratory Assistant and report to our CTO. This is a full-time position where you will work in our brand-new facilities in Tornby, Linköping. Welcome aboard!
Who are we looking for?
As mentioned, this role is a great match if you have a knack for details and quality, and if you find joy in working hands-on. While previous experience in a similar role is a plus, it's not a deal-breaker - what truly matters is your mindset! We're on the lookout for a humble team player with a curiosity for all things technical. Whilst we really value that you are an organized, structured, and meticulous person, we also appreciate your ability to easily adapt to changes in priorities and plans. You use your communication skills to ask for help when necessary, share mistakes (we all make them!) and ask for clarifications of instructions when needed.
Since Excel will be one of your main tools, you should have some computer skills - nothing advanced, though. You get bonus points if you've got a background of working in a structured and organized manner, for example in a warehouse, production setting, or even in a library! However, it’s not a must - what really counts is your enthusiasm for the job. So, if you're ready to join a global team and navigate the exciting Epishine journey, where English is the language of choice, we'd love to hear from you!
What do we offer?
At Epishine, we offer the chance to be part of an exciting journey and the opportunity to contribute to a more sustainable planet. As a quickly growing scale-up, there will be opportunities for development, and you will have brilliant colleagues to collaborate with and learn from. Additionally, we offer a secure employment with pension and insurance benefits, yearly wellness allowance and a friendly company culture where collaboration, innovation and sustainability are at our core.
Application procedure
Does this role sound exciting? Then apply today! Applications are open until the 31st of March but selections might be carried out before that. The start date is mutually agreed, but we are thinking sometime around April/May.
Please note that we require the final candidates in this process to visit our facilities. We also use personality- and logic tests as part of our recruitment process to ensure an objective and fair evaluation of candidates.
Please also be aware that in order to work with the tasks in this role, you will need to receive an aptitude report (Sw: tjänstbarhetsintyg) as per Arbetsmiljöverkets guidelines, which involves a medical checkup.
