The Digital Buildings Business of Schneider Electric provides Intelligent building management solutions to help customers create a productive and comfortable environment for its occupants, reduce energy consumption and run building operations efficiently. As a critical part of this building ecosystem we also provide solutions for fire detection and monitoring of fire detection systems installations.
The Fire team is part of Digital Buildings R&D and is developing Fire Detection Panels, including HW and SW applications. The detection panels are interacting with distributed sensor systems in buildings and with a Fire Expert cloud application.
Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Test Automation Engineer responsible for System integration testing, testing large scale Fire detections systems and integrating with Fire cloud applications. The position is at our R&D center in Lund, Sweden.
Wish list of responsibilities, skills and experience
• Test coverage analysis
• Design test cases
• Constantly evaluate efficiency of testing and new technologies
• Impact assessment of changes to determine regression test need
• Automate appropriate tests cases and contribute to our automation framework
• Continuously develop and maintain system integration test environments
• Quality assure releases
• Run test campaigns
• Advanced troubleshooting and defect reporting
• Collaborate daily with colleagues in Andover and Lund
• You have at least five years’ experience in test and verification of technical systems
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Strong experience in manual and automated testing
• Values team success, team player
• Experience in Python or similar
