What do we offer?
Propulsion & Climate Labs is Volvo Cars’ Centre for testing of propulsion systems, in complete vehicle as well as in component form. To meet the future, we need to utilize state-of-the-art methods to test and verify next-generation cars in an efficient and correct manner. Then the role of Test Automation Engineer for Propulsion Electronics Labs within the group Methods & Software is the place for you to prosper.
We support propulsion test facilities for vehicles, drivelines, electric motors, batteries, transmissions and combustion engines, as well as aerodynamic- and climatic wind tunnel testing. Our work consists of software preparation of testing, test automation, processing- and handling of measurement data and project initiation and -participation.

What you’ll do
You will plan and manage TAS (Test Automation System) development activities. You will be responsible for development, maintenance and implementation of new features and methods in our propulsion test cells. You will implement the software setup in test cell control systems and conduct problem-solving investigations when required. You will be our expert regarding questions from users and plan and manage activities to bring out new functionality.
You will also get the chance to be involved in architecturally sound software decisions aiding future development and maintenance of our software suite. You will develop your competence by participating in the development and specification of test methods. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to build a broad network within R&D and the Laboratory.

Required Skills & Experience
* Sc. or B.Sc. Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
* Experience in HW verification or test method development
* Experience in embedded programming, C, python and interface design
* Knowledge of ethernet, CAN protocols and measurement devices
* Knowledge of fault tracing complex systems consisting of HW and SW
* Experience in programming in a Test Automation System is highly meritorious.
