What do we offer?
We are looking for a Test Automation Software Engineer to join the Electric Driveline Lab within Research and Development at Volvo Cars Headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. 

Electric Driveline Lab is Volvo Cars’ Centre for testing of vehicle propulsion systems. We operate and develop propulsion test facilities for vehicles, drivelines, electric motors, inverters, and transmissions. Our work includes hardware- and software preparation of testing, test execution and processing of measurement data. 

What you’ll do
You will plan and handle TAS (Test Automation System) development activities. You will be responsible for development, maintenance and implementation of new features and methods in our propulsion test cells. You will implement the software setup in test cell control systems and conduct problem solving investigations when required. You will also be running tests in the test beds.
You will get the chance to be involved in architecturally sound software decisions aiding future development and maintenance of our software suite. You will develop your competence by participating in development and specification of test methods. In this role you will also have the opportunity to build a broad network within R&D and the Laboratory.

You and your skills
We see that you have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equal experience. You have knowledge in networks, protocols, and control systems, as well as experience from programming and interface design, and knowledge of measurement systems. Your experience from verification and method development and with the software AVL Puma, or similar, will be a great contribution to the team.  

On a personal level, you are comfortable making your own decisions and appreciate the freedom to take required actions on your own initiative. You have an analysis- and solution-based mindset, that empower your ability to draw technical conclusions out of complex systems. You improve structure and process as a natural part of your work. You are cooperative by nature and bring out the best in others. You possess great communications skills, a genuine interest in technology and are motivated by constantly learning and improving, both yourself and your scope.
