Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now transforming from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Why you should join us
You get the opportunity to work with powertrains that year after year are ranked on top in different market segments and rewarded with several awards for its functionality and efficiency. The role is within one of our quality assurance teams that are dedicated to delivering world-class software that exceeds our customers’ expectations. You get to work with great colleagues and contribute to this mission!
What we are doing
We are committed to adding customer value by ensuring the quality of the powertrains for Scania´s future electric and conventional vehicles. By doing this we are enabling Scania to stay on top as a premium brand within our industry and the driving force of the shift towards a sustainable transport system. This will only be achieved if we together understand our customers and their need, which is also the reason why our function developers and QA engineers are working together to develop and ensure the quality of the functionality.
As with our past products and services we believe that our future ones need to be developed with a strong customer-centric approach and in a collaborative environment where many of our challenges are solved cross-functional. Hence, we advocate an agile way of working where both the individual as well as the team have a significant impact on the product.
Your role
We work in an agile environment based on SAFE and need a test developer/QA engineer to join our team.
While working as a test developer you gain comprehensive knowledge of the gearbox management system and a good overview of how the functions are connected in the software and how the functions interact with the vehicle. The work consists of a big variety of tasks; such as analysis of requirements, development of test cases and scripts for verification of new functionality, and performing tests in both vehicles and simulated environments. You will also be responsible for planning and coordinating these and other activities in sprints.
Your profile
You can quickly familiarize yourself with advanced problems with a desire to find creative solutions together with your colleagues. As the service involves many interfaces, you are responsive to various inputs and have no difficulties making new contacts.
You need experience in programming and software development. Interest in vehicles and more specific knowledge of the powertrain components are an advantage.
You have a relevant university education, and a European driver's license and you are fluent in English in both speech and writing. Communication skills in Swedish are meriting.
Do you recognize yourself in the above? Then we look forward to your application!
We offer
Working at Scania you are offered benefits such as an option to sign an agreement employee car, a yearly company bonus, an occupational pension, flexible working hours, and much more. This role is with a hybrid remote work possibility. If you live in Stockholm, we offer a direct bus service from Stockholm City, via Liljeholmen to Södertälje, called Scania Job Express, for the days when you do want to go to the office.
