Lumibird Photonics Sweden AB needs to strengthen its construction department with a self-motivated and enterprising test developer for both SW/FW and electrical.
Lumibird Photonics Sweden AB manufactures laser rangefinders for various military applications and has an agile manufacturing with responsibility from start to finish. The entire production handles both new manufacturing and repair of both systems and subsystems in the same manufacturing flow.

Your Role
Lumibird Photonics Sweden AB is looking for a test developer with focus on SW/FW and electronics design. Your role will be to develop, improve and maintain new and existing test equipment and SW/FW. The test equipment consists of SW/FW, electronics and mechanics. In the role you shall also develop and maintain SW/FW for existing and new products.
Your main work will include SW/FW and test equipment development including design of circuit boards. Theoretical calculations, practical testing and verification of SW/FW and test equipment. Documentation of work and communication with production. You shall be able to design from a requirements specification and understand how these requirements affect the SW/FW and electrical design, regarding cost and production time.
Depending on your personal profile the work may also include:
· CAD of PCB.
· Advanced hands-on debugging / fault finding of laser rangefinder.
· Managing component library
To achieve the above, you are part of a team with purchasing, sales, system-, mechanical-, electrical‑, power-, optical- and transmitter-designers. Therefore, you need to be able to express yourself in writing and speech both in Swedish and English.
The work is in close contact with the customer, it is therefore important that you understand the customer and end-user needs of the products. There will also be close work with the manufacturers, it is therefore a need to understand the process of manufacturing and to communicate requirements and expectations on deliveries. When needed international traveling to customer/manufactures can occur.
You shall also keep yourself updated with the latest SW/FW and electrical standards and regulations.
Your profile
We are looking for a result focused person with a strong personal drive. You shall perform your tasks with profound investigations and have the ability to independently gather information from all kinds of sources. Your working method shall be systematic with written documentation as a normal standard.
Your technical skills are:
· 5+ years in SW/FW development
· Programing skills in C/C++, Python, VHDL and/or LABview.
· Language skills in Swedish and English is required.
· Bachelor or Master of Science degree in electrical / software engineering or corresponding education or corresponding work experience.
Meriting technical skills are:
· Experience in circuit board development
· Experience from CAD of PCB.
· Experience of Cadence Allegro.
· Experience in Component engineering is a merit.
· Driver license for car is a merit.
