Test Development Engineer, Firmware

The Firmware team is responsible for designing, developing, and testing embedded software in new technology and development projects and to provide software expertise when changes to existing HemoCue products are required. Place of work is onsite in Ängelholm, or hybrid. A hybrid work location means that you live within a commutable distance from Ängelholm and split your working time between your remote location and onsite.
As a Test Development Engineer in the Firmware team you will primarily work in a project team to develop test automation strategies and automation of tests verifying features and functionality in new products. You have a strong technical background, and you enjoy sharing your experience and knowledge with your colleagues. You will mainly work with your colleagues in the Firmware team, but also collaborate with other disciplines such as electronics, mechanics, graphics design, quality assurance, and manufacturing. You should enjoy being part of the product development process at all stages, from feasibility and planning, to design and development, to verification and validation, to manufacturing and maintenance.

What you will be doing
Develop test automation strategies and automation of tests verifying firmware executing on embedded microprocessors and System-on-Modules
Create effective and focused verification plans and reports
Document test cases
Collaborate with development engineers to achieve design for testability

What we need to see
University degree within Computer Science or closely related degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of industry experience as a test automation engineer
Proficiency in Python
Knowledge of pytest and pytest-bdd

What would impress us
Experience in creating test automation frameworks and tools that enable test automation
Knowledge of medical device software development in accordance with IEC 62304
