About the role
We are looking to strengthen our software development team with a Test Engineer. At Trustly we see quality as the responsibility of all members of our development teams. As Test Engineer you'll provide expertise in QA and coach our development teams to keep focus on quality and help to promote thinking about quality and testability. You will create and implement the test strategy in your district/domain and keep it relevant as the company grows.
What you´ll do
Work on an operative level as a part of a development team
Plan and execute tests together with the team (it can be both automated e2e tests and manual tests)
Drive the vision for how we want to test our products (which tools and techniques to use)
Work with release management and DevOps to improve how we deploy software in production
Bring testing to the table in all discussions (sprint plannings, retrospectives etc)
Perform testing (manual and automated) of the products that the team develop and maintain

What we hope you´ll bring
Experience from working in similar test engineer position
Preferable a a degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience from working with testing and quality assurance as a part of an agile development team
A strong understanding of agile (Scrum in particular) development processes
Experience of testing distributed systems with high number of transactions
It's highly meriting if you have skills in scripting or programming to create automated tests and tools
