Arbetsbeskrivning
At HMS Industrial Networks, we value the tremendous contributions of our employees, and we recognize that it is our people that make HMS successful. We work hard to maintain our vibrant, innovative, and welcoming culture, and we strive to support our staff as they grow and develop both personally and professionally.
We are now seeking a Test Engineer to join our team.
Our new test engineer will work in our dedicated and experienced software development team who maintains and develops new functionality in our Anybus embedded products and solutions used in world-leading industrial networks. Our products are used in applications that run 24-7, sometimes for decades, and our products need to work equally well from the first day to the last day. As a result, our software must meet demanding requirements, and testing the software is of the utmost importance.
We try to drive our testing towards full automation and continuous integration where we use Jenkins for continuous integration/testing and Python for implementation of functional tests. The test engineer will be involved throughout the development cycle with continuous testing of the software and will play a key role in our development team.
The ideal candidate is passionate about finding issues, have a critical eye, a tester mindset, a drive to investigate things, writing good test cases, is keen on developing knowledge in industrial network systems and thrive when given the opportunity to identify and solve problems. HMS is a rapidly growing company, so commitment to teamwork and leveraging outside resources to learn from and solve problems is a must. Although being a true team player, you can also argue your case and stand up for quality, even in times of pressure in a project.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a test engineer with some or extensive experience in testing software and an engineering degree or similar. Experience with Jenkins, GIT, Python and continuous testing is meritorious, as well as knowledge and previous experience with industrial communication technologies.
In addition, we see it as an important asset if you have special interests outside of work, such as role-playing games, Lego, sports, music, demo programming or something entirely different.
We have a prestige-free working environment, where everyone wants to share their knowledge and help each other. The team currently consists of three people, but you will also collaborate with test engineers in our other software teams. We run an agile development methodology. There are short distances between decisions and implementation, and there are plenty of opportunities to influence our way of working. Working remotely several days a week is an option and when necessary, we work in our joint office in Halmstad.
