Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our dynamic team.
As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our ‘Tool-Chain’ (a comprehensive set of AWS services and applications used in for example updating vehicle software, reading diagnostics data and much more). You will work in cross-functional teams, have a strong technical background, pay attention to detail, and have a passion for delivering high-quality products. You also thrive in a fast-paced agile working environment.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement test cases and procedures
• Conduct thorough testing, analysis, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues or defects.
• Design and develop test fixtures, jigs, and automated tests to streamline the testing process and enhance efficiency.
• Perform various tests, including functional, performance, stress, and reliability testing, to ensure products meet quality standards and customer expectations.
• Document test results, create detailed reports, and maintain accurate records of test procedures, methodologies, and equipment calibration.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize testing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to testing methodologies and equipment.
Requirements
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Familiarity with programming languages and scripting tools for test automation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
