Bus Chassis Testing is looking for a test engineer to expand the team. The group is mainly responsible for testing at the complete vehicle level, the system level and in test rigs.
We are involved early in the projects with requirements and method development. The group is responsible for vehicle characteristics for steering and handling, brakes, ride comfort and mobility.
As a test engineer, you will be part of our team, which currently consists of seven test engineers, a test coordinator and group manager. Within the group, we work both independently and in teams to achieve our goals. This means that all individuals in the group have a responsibility in engaging and guiding colleagues towards set goals. With participation, risk management and direct action on deviations, we do this best together.
About the role
The position with us as a test engineer in steering includes, among other things, function and performance testing as well as tests in the characteristic areas of steering feel, heading and steering forces. Complete vehicle testing is the focus, but tests of subsystems and components in vehicles or rigs also occur. The service also includes testing together with subcontractors and certification tests together with authorities. If necessary, we participate in the annual climate tests.
Within the bus organization, we work partly on assignments from other groups, partly on assignments from ourselves from a property perspective. As a test engineer, you are the task leader for your test. You are responsible for planning, coordinating cross-functionally, implementing, analyzing and reporting test assignments.
To succeed in the position, good cooperation and dialogue with mechanics, designers, calculation, simulation and other cross-functional functions such as system and function owners, certification engineers and sister groups on the truck side is required.
Your profile
You are likely to be a civil or university engineer, you have a great interest in technology and enjoy working with vehicles.
You are a team player who can work both independently and as part of a team.
You are structured, meticulous, proactive and responsive. You find it easy to cooperate with other people.
It is advantageous if you have experience with vehicle dynamics and advanced driving.
Knowledge in measurement technology as well as analysis of measurement data and measurement value processing is needed in the work.
Driving license B with extensive driving experience is a requirement, C and D are meritorious.
You have good knowledge of English and basic knowledge of Swedish, both in writing and speaking.
General good computer skills are a requirement.
Programming skills in Matlab or Python, knowledge of measurement systems such as CANape, IPEmotion and Dewesoft as well as Scania's diagnostic tools XCOM, Gadget, CDev and SDP3, etc. is meritorious.
Previous experience in vehicle testing is advantageous.
