The group Engine Mounted Cooling System is part of the department Powertrain Installation and the section Exhaust & Cooling System. The operation of Cooling System is divided into two groups working closely together (Chassis- and Engine mounted cooling system) in order to provide complete cooling systems to all engine and car projects at Volvo Car Group. Cooling system is a fundamental area in respect to thermal management and C02 reduction. We work in close cooperation with our suppliers and the different car and engine projects. We deliver complete system to new car projects and to current running production and have the total responsibility for the complete cooling system in the car.

As Test Engineer you will work closely together with other Test Engineers, Function Owners, Function Implementer and System Responsible. Most of the work will be car testing in/around PV building. Hällered and Jokkmokk are locations for winter testing and USA for summer testing. Testing in rig will also be a part of the work. The position requires high level of software interface, a great interest of computer systems and programming (Matlab), car driving and travelling.

Main responsibility:

* Verification of cooling system functions in car and rig
* Solve SW/function problem on test cars all over Research & Development
* Write and document test reports

Required qualifications:

* B.Sc. degree within IT or computer science or a similar education/experience
* Extensive knowledge in computer systems and programming (Matlab)
* Experience within software development and vehicle control systems are meritorious
* Fluent in English, speaking and writing
* Driver's license (B-level)
