PIM RBS Kumla is a part of Business Unit Networks. We are globally responsible for predevelopment, industrialization and production of next generation base stations.
As Change Handler, you are from a supply perspective responsible for prototypes and maintaining the product structure. Your interfaces are towards R&D units and production sites globally.

Job Description
At Customer Return in Kumla we handle after market activities such as analyzing returned products, repair products and we have a technical support responsibility worldwide for aftermarket centers.

The role as a test engineer at Customer Return is a wide role with a support responsibility towards our global Repair Centers and towards our own Repair Center in Kumla. Mainly you will work with PRTT (Pre Repair Test Tool) but also with unit tester for Radio and digital units, you are first line support for these equipment’s for our Repair Centers globally. For the PRTT you are responsible to build, start up, verify and install the test equipment on different sites all over the world. To do root cause analyze will be part of your daily work related to test problems and contribute to improvements. You will also educate the users of the tester.

The test engineer is also expected to travel abroad when so is required and you will work with several nationalities both in person and at distance.

You will need to have a flexible way of working and an ability to prioritize and achieve results. Focus on process development and evolving the business is an important part of the role.

You are working closely together with the other functions within Ericsson and they are located all over the world.

Qualification
We believe that you as an applicant to this appointment have an academic background within technical science, and have experience or relevant similar training and experiences within production engineering.

Competence
You should have good communication and cooperation skills, and you are self-motivated with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge. You also need to have a high degree of flexibility and quality. As a person you are a team worker and have an open mindset. Knowledge about networks and sub networks is a prerequisite.
Programing of C++ or C# is a merit, at least you must be able to read this type of code.
You need to have good writing and verbal skills in Swedish as well as in English since the work involves a lot of internal and external contacts.
You also need to have knowledge of electricity, both high voltage and -48v and good workmanship regarding electrical hands on work.

Experience of Ericsson product portfolio within the RBS is a merit.
